There was a time on my “abege” years I used to put “Cruise” as my last name. And now “Joey” of Dawson’s creek who maybe once also play “the last name” own it for real, legally. As a fellow Sagittarian I couldn’t be any prouder for never give up her long teenager’s huge crush dream. Bulls eye, Katie!






4. Samuel L. Jackson
A bad-ass! We play with bow and arrow of course we have that killer insticnt in our blood. Mr. Jackson here is the perfect killing example. With you on our side, other signs must think ten thousand it they wanna mess with us.



5. Jane Austen
Okay, confession. I only read her book through numerous romantic chick-drama movies. But her romance vibe stab me right through my chest. Somehow British people never failed to impress me.







6. Gael Garcia Bernal
Forgive me, father for I have weak for a good-looking guy. To make it worst, this one is Sagittarian. Make it even more hard to avoid his sexy Latino persona on the big screen.





7. Jonathan R. Knight
Helloo...he’s one of the New Kid on the hottest Block in the 90’s. Jordan may charm us with his falsetto, the cutey Joey may make all the girls scream like a maniac, but Jonathan...oh Jonathan he always be my favorite kid. Calm, cool, and that shy-smile makes me scream louder than any girls at their concert in Jakarta back on the 1990’s. He surely got the right stuff! Ooo...ooooo!

1. Julianne Moore
A fine-featured redhead, Julianne Moore moved to New York City in 1983, working as a waitress and performing in bit parts before achieving recognition in several independent films. Her outstanding performance in Boogie Nights (1997) brought her widespread attention and nominations for several major acting awards. At present, she is Bvlgari brand ambassador. Her last features, The Kids Are Allright alongside Annete Benning is predicted to gain her an oscar nomination for best actress.


2. Judy Dench
Dench has been on the British stage since the late 1950s, and in television and films since the 1960s. She was awarded an Order of the British Empire in 1970 and made a Dame of the British Empire in 1988 in recognition of her illustrious theater career, but it took high-profile film roles in the 1990s to make her an international celebrity. In 1995, she took over the role of M (James Bond's boss) with the James Bond film series, starting with GoldenEye to Quantum of Solace. Next year, she will appear alongside Johnny Deep in Pirates of Caribbean 4 : On Stranger Tides.


3. Sammy Davis Jr
Born into a vaudeville family, Sammy Davis, Jr. was dancing onstage by the time he was four years old. He grew into a genuine song-and-dance man: an expert tapdancer, crooner, impressionist and all-purpose entertainer. He's best remembered for his high-energy years in Frank Sinatra's so-called Rat Pack, appearing onstage and in movies like Ocean's Eleven (1960) with Sinatra and Dean Martin. He was nominated for a Tony award for his lead role in the Broadway hit Golden Boy and was a frequent headliner in Las Vegas. Davis's interracial marriage to Swedish actress May Britt in 1960 was a rarity for its day. They divorced in 1968. He married dancer Altovise Gore in 1970 and they remained married until his death. Davis lost his left eye in a 1954 car crash while driving from Las Vegas to Los Angeles and converted to Judaism in the mid-1950s. He was played by Don Cheadle in the 1998 TV movie The Rat Pack.


4. Dionne Warwick
Warwick was a pop and R&B music star of the 1960s and 1970s, particularly known for singing the songs of the composer-lyricist team of Burt Bacharach and Hal David. (Her Bacharach/David hits include "Walk On By," “Don’t Make Me Over”, "Do You Know the Way to San Jose," "I Say A Little Prayer" and "I'll Never Fall In Love Again.") In the 1980s she collaborated with Elton John, Gladys Knight and Stevie Wonder on the Grammy-winning single "That's What Friends Are For," a fundraiser for AIDS victims. Dionne Warwick now lives in Brazil. Warwick first visited Brazil in the early 1960s and has become so entranced by the South American country that she has bought a home there and has studied Portuguese. She’s the cousin of Whitney Houston.

5. Steve Buscemi
Steve Buscemi has appeared in more than 80 films, but he is best remembered for playing creepy criminals such as Mr. Pink in Reservoir Dogs (1994, by Quentin Tarantino) and Carl the kidnapper in Fargo (1996, by the Coen brothers). Buscemi, a former New York City fireman (1980-84) broke into films with a leading role in Parting Glances (1986). During the '80s and '90s he earned a reputation as the "king of the indies" for his many appearances in small, independently produced movies. Buscemi usually plays squirrelly, "funny looking" guys (especially for Adam Sandler) and has appeared many times in movies by Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez, as well as films by the Coen brothers. The kind of actor who makes even small roles memorable, he has also appeared in mainstream blockbusters such as Con Air (1997, with Nicolas Cage), Armageddon (1998, with Bruce Willis) and The Island (2005, with Ewan McGregor), Desperado (1995, starring Antonio Banderas), Airheads (1994), Tim Burton's Big Fish (2004). Buscemi has also done voice work, including Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within (2001), Monsters, Inc. (2001, with John Goodman), Monster House (2006) and Charlotte's Web (2006, with Julia Roberts). Besides being a busy actor, Buscemi has directed television shows and feature films, including The Sopranos (2003; he also played the character Tony Blundetto) and Trees Lounge (1996). Currently, he landed the lead role in the HBO series Boardwalk Empire in 2009.

6. Benjamin Bratt
After several years of small roles in movies and on TV, Benjamin Bratt made his name in the late 1990s as lean and hunky detective Reynaldo Curtis on TV's Law & Order. He left the show in 1999 to work in feature films, playing clean-cut straight men in movies such as Red Planet (2000, with Carrie-Anne Moss), Miss Congeniality (2000, starring Sandra Bullock) and Steven Soderbergh's Traffic (2000, with Benicio Del Toro). Once dated Julia Roberts but happily married to actress Talisa Soto. He received critical raves and surprised fans in Love in the Time of Cholera (starring Javier Bardem). Wish to see him more.

7. Don Cheadle
Don Cheadle was nominated for an Oscar as the heroic hotel manager who sheltered refugees in the 2004 film Hotel Rwanda. Cheadle was already one of the busiest character actors of his era, appearing in movies such as Boogie Nights (1997, with Mark Wahlberg), Bulworth (1998, with Warren Beatty), Traffic (2000, with Catherine Zeta-Jones) and Swordfish (2001, with John Travolta). Cheadle started out in television in the early 1980s, picking up a regular role (1993-95) as district attorney John Littleton in the series Picket Fences. His breakout movie role was as the hair-trigger chum Mouse in the Denzel Washington film Devil in a Blue Dress (1995). Handsome, thoughtful and intense, he began working his way toward leading roles as the 21st century arrived. In 2010, Cheadle assumed the role of James Rhodes in the film Iron Man 2, replacing Terrence Howard, his Crash co-star. He also was appointed, "U.N. Environment Program Goodwill Ambassador

8. Steven Spielberg
Steven Spielberg directed many of the top-grossing films in Hollywood history, including the blockbusters Jaws (1975), E.T. (1982), and many more. Over the next 20 years he grew into the most successful movie mogul alive. His directing credits include hits like Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977), Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981, co-produced by George Lucas), the cuddly-alien flick E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial, the dinosaurs-on-the-loose classic Jurassic Park (1993), and War of the Worlds (2005). Raiders of the Lost Ark and Jurassic Park each spawned two sequels and are among the most lucrative film series of all time. 9. Judd Apatow
Comedy go-getter Judd Apatow is a producer, writer and director who found mainstream success with The 40 Year Old Virgin (2005, starring Steve Carell). A childhood spent studying comedians led Apatow from New York to California when he was just out of high school. After years of doing stand-up, writing jokes and hustling TV and film projects, he produced The Ben Stiller Show (1993). He produced the 2004 Will Ferrell comedy Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, and after that it was sunny skies and smooth sailing. Known for lacing lowbrow boy humor with chick-flick sentiment, Apatow's string of box-office hits includes Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby (2006, producer only), Knocked-Up (2007, starring Seth Rogen) and Superbad (2007, starring Michael Cera and Jonah Hill, with Apatow producing but not directing). He was once Adam Sandler's roommate.

A Tale of Mismatch Personality

Once upon a couch-potato time. You are watching your fave sappy soapy opera or docu-over-the-top-real-life-drama on tv.What do you do when commercial break? Surfing the neighboring channel might be okay but please take the most of 5 minutes hiatus and be full alert to view what’s going on (Note : you gotta be open and release the knowledge in order to come to a higher understanding of reality).

Commercial reigns! May the infectious message they want to convey get into your state of mind. Countless product screaming in fashionably, creatively, out-of-the-box manner: “Notice Me”; I’m better than others”; “Using me and you’ll be drop dead georgeous”...begging and nagging your attention. Brand has a soul–so does the ambassador that becomes the spoke person for the good cause of that product she/he endorses.

Unfortunately, we sense and see a dismay distortion since observing the mismatch personality blends – between the brand and the ambassador - and keeps repeatedly over and over.

1. No offense to Sonia Wibisono – she’s a femme fatale, dress to kill and naturally born to defend the likes of Tatler and highly doses of socialite publication – not the generic, available-everywhere medicine, cheapo rice cooker – you name and count the product she fervently hard sells.









2. Queen of domestic kitchen, Farah Quinn; please slow your pace a while. Mom and housewife desperately want to look like you. Male watchers are keen and have sinful-delightful-indulgence watching your show. Try to carefully select the various product that being offered to you. Nough said before you are too soo overly-exposed.








3. Young at heart heroine Agnes Monica also rules the kingdom of commercial. Snack, biscuit, phone operator, liquid cleaner, washing detergent, cloth softener, handphone are well...her major concentration and yeahh... predictable boring. Make a dramatic move Agnezmo! Exchange and explore different option – anybody could suggest a better, distinct role for Ms.A?







4. Have you ever noticed, her famous, catchy-signature line “Good job, I like it” made newly-weds Rianti Cartwright utilizes the sentence for assorted products she signs on? C’mon brand director be a lil’ smart --- it’s a big yes for one, same person using it – repeating it – chanting it exclusively for your solely product only and not others.








5. Everybody loves Baim! The boy wonder who steal our heart away with his chubby cheek, reddish lips and that big cutey eyes. From one “sinetron” to countless commercials. At first it was okay, but when one cellular provider using him as an endorser (and slightly outshine their previous ambassador, Yuni Shara’s boy-toy) it becomes...eerrk! It’s a little bit desperate to me. Using child as the main talent for non-child product? Like Baim’s famous line of praying “Ya Allah...tolong brand kami biar kelihatan banyak duit, mampu bayar seleb mana aja yang lagi ngehits dan bikin provider lain ngiri ya, Allah”


6. The Diva of falling in-out of love, Titi DJ, is one of the lucky celebrities. Her numerous romance with public figures not once shatterd her image. We all still love and adore her performance. Her vibrant personality can light up the room. You could have all night long girl’s talk over Margarita and chick-flick marathon. But not over washing clothes and talk about dirty laundry (in litteral meaning). I know she’s a mom of four but her image never been a “Bree Hodge” type of mom. She’s more like the “Gabrielle Solis”, well-polish and we didn’t care a bit how she did the laundry with that Jimmy Choo’s heels!

7. Former member of Club 80’s , Desta is a firecracker! Typical class-clown, always entertaining and burst the whole class with laughter. Even rolling on the floor, laughing of course. When one private bank contract him as it ambassador, we’re not laughing. Yet, we kinda question the bank’s credibility. Perhaps they want to portray “a friendly, young, casual image” but it went far too light and we end up not buying it. Come on Desta! You could sell us a bag of potato chips full of MSG but don’t preaching about saving and interest. That’s why we have Safir Senduk and Ligwina Hananto.

Why first cut is always and forever the deeeeeeppppeeeessstttt???? My eternal first time crush. From rom-sit-com hilarious characters, cutey-killer-look actor that belongs to Katie Holmes (now) still lingers on my mind and I wanna meet ‘em...


1. The cast of F.R.I.E.N.D.S
They’ve been with me since high school. RCTI first time aired the show on midnight. I stayed up late, part studying for final exam, part watching this fabulous six. Chandler is my first comedy-crush. I blame my curly hair for not able to have the Rachel’s cut (but we make peace now. Me & my hair are happily curly). For once, I wanna sip my cappuccino on Central Perk, listening Phoebe’s Smiley Cat in full version (if there’s any such thing) while Joey hitting on me with “how you doing…”


2. Walt Disney
Father of Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck. Joy creator, happy-endings maker, the founding father of magical land…who wouldn’t want to shake his hand? Heck, I’m gonna give him a very mighty big hug if I could meet him.








3. Tom Cruise
First time I notice of “cowok ganteng” is him. A vision of him on ray-ban aviator is forever stick on my mind. Handsome men come and go, but you’ll never forget your first crush, right?








4. Anthony Bourdain
Bonjour Mr. Bourdain, do I need reservation to be your assistant traveling & eating around the world? Cruising the cusine from the top of the mountain to remote in Vietnam. I’m game! Nothing’s holding meet you up.




5. Bing Slamet
Indonesia’s comedy genius! He’s the guru of the great comedian in Indonesia. The one who's responsible for classic comedy such as, “Koboi Cengeng”, “Bing Slamet Sibuk”, “Bing Slamet Dukun Palsu”. To amuse people with big-hearty laugh was just one of his incredible talent. He was also a remarkable composer. The infamous “Genjer-genjer” was one of his work.

People I Wish to Meet - Mr. Frapu version

Character and charisma are the essential quality that makes a great personality. It authorizes the men and women of substance. If only time machine were invented... I would save every cents and penny and travel back in time just to say big hi to them (Monsieur Polge and Helena are the exception as both still enjoy a healthy and productive life)


1. Ella Fitzgerald
The more I listen to her... the more I adore and cherish “The First Lady of songs”. Personally, her tunes are my morning pick-me-up, my sanctuary, my note-worthy reminders of how to seize the day.

2. Ismail Marzuki
Mr. Romantic from Senen, Kwitang. Always produces simple lyric and melody yet becomes powerful repertoire and deserves to be a true masterpiece! Bang Mail era was filled with“gerakan perjuangan” for a nation in waiting a full independence and what does inspire him to become eternal romantic in that moment? (I keep wondering in awe).

3. Raden Saleh
